Bars
Torremolinos has earned itself quite a reputation as a party town over the years, and there is a plethora of choice when it comes to night-time watering holes. The town centre has plenty of bars to chose from, ranging from typical Spanish to Irish & British pubs, karaoke bars, family pubs, and in particular a thriving gay scene, centred around the Nogalera.
For
a traditional Spanish tipple, we recommend La Campana, pictured here,
which is a typical old style bodega, or wine bar. Try the famous sweet
Malaga wine, or a fine sherry or Moscatel, accompanied perhaps by a
plate of fresh shellfish. The walls are adorned with several old photos
of Torremolinos, which add to the feeling of stepping back in time. A
real treat and a rare find on today's modern Costa del Sol! Located on
Calle de la Cruz, close to Plaza Costa del Sol.Nearby on the upper end of C/San Miguel (across the main road) you will find several popular night bars. Tina's is particularly popular with the younger crowds. A bit more laid back, The Galloping Major is a traditional British style pub, but run by very friendly Spanish staff.
For a lively night by the beach in Carihuela, why not stop at Playa Miguel for a nice cool Margaritta? Always a fun atmosphere and good music to get the party going.

Nightclubs
The nightclubs in the town centre, which carry on until the small hours at weekends, cater nowadays mainly to the gay population. Young straight people tend to head more towards Benalmadena for the clubbing scene. There are also several nightclubs along the main road through Montemar (Avda. Carlotta Alessandri).
Events & Fiestas
Day of the Tourist. 1st Thursday in September. Various events throughout the day, mainly around the town centre.
Feria de San Miguel: last week in September; starts with the Romeria, a traditional Spanish procession through the streets on the Sunday before. There is a nightly fun fair at the Feria ground in Calvario, plus all night dancing and music at the many casitas surrounding it.
