la Carihuela Promenade TorremolinosFor seafood lovers, La Carihuela is the place to head to. Take a walk along the promenade, and you will be spoilt for choice. Many of the famous "chiringuitos", or beach bars, will have charcoal barbequeues set up on the beach to cook the sardines that the area is so well known for. An especially enjoyable snack with an ice cold drink is "calamritos" - fried baby squid. Or, if you prefer a more formal meal, try one of the many restaurants facing the beach. The pedestrian street one line back from the beach also has many fine seafood restaurants, and are particularly popular with Spanish families. On Sunday's it can get extremely busy. One particularly popular and well known establishment in this area is Casa Juan. Or for meat lovers, look out for Casa Pascual.
